The 16th edition of In-store Asia, the leading trade fair for retail design, shopfitting, visual merchandising and in-store marketing on the Indian subcontinent, took place in Mumbai from 22 to 24 May 2025. With more than 5,700 trade visitors - including decision-makers from retail companies, service providers, designers and other retail professionals - the event once again proved its relevance.
Platform for trends, dialogue and business
Numerous well-known providers presented solutions for the modern, networked and sustainable point of sale. The range included, among other things: POP displays, interactive shop window solutions, shop fitting systems, lighting, digital retail technologies and innovative store design concepts. The trade fair also serves as a networking platform for decision-makers from retail, architecture, design and marketing.
“The energy and innovative power of In-store Asia 2025 was once again extremely inspiring. We are very proud to be able to promote networking at the highest level and strategic cooperation in the retail sector. In-store Asia is a catalyst for further development and collaboration in the Indian retail community,” summarises Millie Contractor, General Manager of Messe Düsseldorf India.
The partners of the trade fair are also satisfied: “For us, In-store Asia is still the most valuable platform in the retail fit-out industry. Year after year, the trade fair brings together the most important decision-makers, brands and solution providers under one roof - a unique place for networking, collaboration and future planning,” says Satvinder Singh, Managing Director of Satin Neo Dimensions.
The highlights of the supporting programme
The parallel trade congress offered insights into the latest developments in Indian and international retail. Under the motto ‘Connected, Collaborative and Conscious’, topics such as store design, retail technology, sustainability and brand communication were on the agenda. Representatives from over 40 companies shared practical experiences and trends. Another highlight was the presentation of the VM&RD Retail Design Awards, which honoured over 300 entries in 24 categories. In the popular VM Challenge, 36 visual merchandisers from 20 companies competed against each other in six teams and designed shop windows on the theme of ‘Neo-Nomad’ in just 60 minutes. Leading retail brands such as Shoppers Stop and Lifestyle impressed in the so-called focal points with particularly eye-catching shop window installations and showed how innovative design can change the shopping experience.
The next In-store Asia will take place from 21 to 23 May 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Further information: www.instoreasia.in
